Pick up from Sandakan Airport/Hotel and transfer to CQ Jetty, the departure point for your journey to Selingan Turtle Island (For those booking a flight to Sandakan, please ensure arrival by 0730 HRS to allow sufficient travel time to reach the jetty for the single daily boat to Selingan Turtle Island). The motorized boat ride to the island is estimated to take around an hour. Upon arrival, check-in to your designated chalet. After lunch, equip yourself with mask, fins, and snorkel, and set out to the beach where an array of juvenile marine life awaits your discovery. Alternatively, you may opt for serene relaxation or indulge in sunbathing by the beach. Prior to dinner, immerse yourself in an enlightening slide show that unveils details about the Turtle Park and its inhabitants. As night descends, gather at the cafeteria. Await the signal from the Park’s Ranger before embarking in a small group to the egg-laying site. There, you will be privileged to witness the mother turtle laying her eggs. Observe the delicate process of transferring eggs to the hatchery, followed by the momentous release of hatchlings to the sea. Overnight stay at Selingan Island Chalet.

Remarks:​

• The Island’s chalets are approximately 500m from the beach, and there are no porters available on the island. Please be prepared to carry your own luggage from the boat to your chalet. We recommend repacking your clothes for a more comfortable stay on Selingan Island.

• Kindly note that capturing photographs of the turtles is permissible only with an unaided flash camera.
